This is a lovely bit of work. The fact that it is only pencil on coloured paper makes it all the more impressive in how well it captures the characters and their relationship. I really love Korra's tribal dress; someone is obviously trying to escape her 'tomboy' reputation. I especially like the little aside glance as if Korra and Asami have a secret that they're not going to tell or something.
Hmmm... They also seem... at ease. I've got the feeling that this is an older Korra and Asami who have walked a long way down life's path and don't have the same insecurities, fears and hasty impulses that so impacted on their youths.
Oh, thank you so much! I love your analysis and I'm glad you picked up on the "having a secret" thing. I was definitely going for that but wasn't sure if it was reading very well. I'm glad you like Korra's dress, I'll have to try drawing a picture of them in their finale dresses too!
There's something I just really adore about Korra's look here, not sure if it's the shirt(/dress?), necklace, hair or just the overall gorgeous way they all come together! The look she and Asami share just completes the loveliness~
